Hello, I'm Cathrine (she/they),
nice to meet you!

UX Designer Based in Seattle, WA
As a former teacher and current designer, I am all about diving into my natural curiosities and asking hypotheticals (Why do so many people hate country music? Could you use a paper shredder to make pasta? etc.). I look forward to using my creativity to brainstorm multiple solutions and curiosity to research and advocate for user needs.
I am a strong advocate of systems thinking as it is our responsibility to challenge our current designs and their relationship & impact on our society. I am excited to share my questions and connect with other open-minded folk!

In May 2020, I graduated from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) in Music Performance and Education. Shortly after, I began teaching middle school music & health at Cedar Heights in my online classroom. As much as I enjoyed teaching, my observations with online learning and accessibility along with the lasting impact it had on my students drove me into passionate research projects about user experience - the users being my students. After two years of teaching, I recognized the importance of excellent UX design and felt inspired to play a more direct role in improving user experiences.
