my story
i’m an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and future physical therapist whose work sits at the intersection of creativity, movement, and human connection.
i studied music education and clarinet performance at the university of michigan , and spent several years teaching middle school music, where i built programs that brought students into community spaces like libraries and senior homes. that experience shaped a core belief for me.
art isn’t just performance, it’s a way to build belonging, across ages, stories, and lived experiences.
since then, i’ve worked across arts administration, community organizing, dance & movement workshops, and ux design focused on inclusivity and connection. i also share my skin positive story on @asianacnegirl, focusing on my journey of vulnerability, self-acceptance and body empowerment.
more recently, i’ve been working in physical therapy as a care coordinator and physical therapy technician, which has deepened my understanding of movement, healing, and person-centered care. i will be continuing that path through my doctor of physical therapy studies at hawaii pacific university starting august '26.
across all of these chapters, what keeps pulling me forward is simple: i care about creating spaces (through art, movement, or care) where people can feel more connected, more expressed, and a little more free to be themselves.
my values
everyone is inherently creative and that meaningful connection begins when we feel safe enough to express ourselves authentically.
philosophy
my personal philosophy is rooted in the belief that people are not meant to live in isolation from their bodies, their emotions, or each other.
i think we learn who we are through movement, through expression, and through the small, ordinary moments where we feel safe enough to be fully ourselves.
i don’t see creativity as something separate from daily life. it’s a practice of mindfulness. the way we move through space, the way we listen, the way we respond to discomfort or joy; all of it is creative. when we slow down enough to notice, we start to realize that expression is already happening all the time.
i’m especially interested in spaces where people can return to a sense of play. not productivity, not performance, but play -- the kind that allows for mistakes, curiosity, and surprise. i believe this is where connection becomes possible, because we stop trying to be impressive and start being present.
at the core of my work is a simple idea: healing and connection are not separate from creativity. they are created through it. whether through music, movement, design, or shared experience, i believe we become more ourselves when we create alongside others.
